POSITION: Senior Analyst / Associate / Senior Associate, Special Opportunities

 

LOCATION: Austin, TX

 

Our client is a multi-billion dollar AUM investment firm based in Austin, TX for a new investment professional to join their Special Opportunities team. This team reviews investments in an opportunistic format and in this role, you will work on sourcing, underwriting, investing, and managing new and existing fund and principal investments across public equity, PE, private credit, structured finance, and special situations. You will have a unique opportunity to work alongside leading global investors across a wide variety of strategies, industries and regions. 

 

The ideal candidate for this role is intellectually curious; able to analyze complex data to identify risks and opportunities; has the capacity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment; and is driven to help improve and innovate the team's approach to investing.  

 Work involves assisting with sourcing and performing due diligence analysis of potential co-investment and direct opportunities, fund investments, financial modeling, and in monitoring the day-to-day performance of the portfolio.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-8 years of experience in credit, equity or multi-asset, or other relevant transactional experience in a corporate development, investment banking, hedge fund, private equity fund, or similar background

- Experience performing data analysis, financial modeling, and investment evaluation

- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
