TitleSenior Tax Accountant
Our client is is a global institutional asset management firm. They are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join their tax team.
- Preparation and review of hedge fund, private equity fund, real estate fund and SPV tax work papers and tax returns, respectively
- Preparation and review of estimated tax calculations
- Preparation and review of investor tax documents and reports
- Relationship management with outside accounting, tax and law firms
- Research and analysis relating to investor tax questions and providing appropriate responses
- Coordination with other departments as well as outside audit firm with respect to audited financial statements, including ASC 740 (formerly FIN 48) analysis
- Research and analysis relating to tax law changes that impact the asset management industry
Qualifications
- 3-4+ years’ experience in public accounting
- Experience with and understanding of partnership agreements for hedge fund, and private equity funds (experience with real estate funds a plus)
- Experience with and comprehension of private equity fund specific tax issues, including targeted capital account allocations
- Experience with and identification of tax issues related to international taxes and tax-exempt organizations
- Experience with the preparation and review of tax work papers as well as federal and state tax returns
- Coordination and management of the tax return preparation and review process among several public accounting firms
